KOVR Loves Trees
What humans do over the next 50 years will determine the fate of all life on the planet.
– Sir David Attenborough

Trees Matter
Our team is on a mission for the love of trees. We are committed to helping our clients keep and maintain the trees they love on their properties and help with general tree preservation across the state of California and beyond.

Care Tips
01
Trim Not Cut
You might be asked by insurance to cut down a tree in case where you may only need to trim it. If you can trim to where it is not touching a structure or utility wire, try this first and show proof of your trimming to carrier.
02
5 Feet Rule
Except for large established trees, all plants should be 5 feet away from your home. Keep this five foot zone clear of bark mulch, wood chips, leaf litter and other dead or dying plant material.
03
7 Signs to Track
Cracks in the trunk or major limbs. Signs of hollowing and decay. Pest infestation. Mushrooms growing from the bark. Significant leaning to one side. Limbs in contact with power lines. Branches hanging over your house.
04
Storm Care
It is a good idea to walk your property before and after a storm. Before a storm, remove large branches that are down or dead and likely to come down in a storm. After storm inspect trees for damage and remove down branches on roof and yard.
05
Routine Care
Enhance the health of trees through timely watering, proper fertilization and protection from soil compaction. Regularly prune dead or broken limbs to help trees maintain their structural integrity. Be careful not to over-treat tree hollows, and do not remove decayed wood from hollows unless it falls away in your hands
Our Commitment to Trees to Date
In 2025, KOVR’s donation to Treepeople’s Wildfire Resilience Fund, sponsored 50 trees to be planted as part of their reforestation efforts.
