Personal Lines Account Manager/Trainer

We are a collaborative, forward-thinking, and technology-driven growing agency, searching for enthusiastic, results-oriented people to add to our team. We are in search of a Personal Lines Account Manager who can wear many hats to help get systems in place for future growth. To accomplish that you will need to be comfortable with technology, mentoring, and training future employees, as well as have a high-level knowledge of the processes of a Personal Lines department. Recognizing proper workflows and the ability to articulate instruction both in shadow training and in writing is needed for this role.

The Personal Lines Account Manager position is crucial to the day-to-day operations and long-term goals of the Agency, with responsibilities that are varied and vital. A strong work ethic AND the ability to take on multiple responsibilities, including a deeper knowledge of agency procedures and standards are a must!


  • Provide high quality, high touch service to customers and prospects
  • Know underwriting and rating procedures for all types of personal lines policies
  • Handle day to day service issues including general coverage questions, issuing ID cards, endorsements, a summary of insurance, problem-solving of all levels
  • Quote new and renewal options including, exposure analysis, contract analysis, formal proposals, binding policies
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret industry policies and contract documents
  • Initiative to reach out to prospects for policy review and quoting options
  • Contact underwrite and submit forms to obtain binder coverage
  • Work closely with clients and carrier on claims issues to ensure they are settled equitably for both the client and the insurer
  • Stay up to date on personal lines marketplace and coverages that carriers offer


  • Assist in documenting workflows
  • Identify possibilities for improved workflows and processes
  • Provide technical/training support to Personal Lines Department; specifically in training on systems and in analyzing best processes to best work with carriers and client to capture client needs, coverage forms, and quotes/proposals


  • Effectively present information to insureds and carriers
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as percentages, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform duties in a high-pressured, fast-paced environment
  • High degree of organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and remain flexible
  • Stay informed and up to date in all related Personal Lines changes and developments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently with limited supervision and within a team environment


  • Minimum of five years related industry experience and/or training
  • Current California Property & Casualty insurance license
  • Experience with EPIC, Microsoft Suite, Zoom
